COMMON QUESTIONS

When are tryouts for Invictus Aquatics?

Tryouts and team placement evaluations are held before the start of each season, typically in the fall and spring. Exact dates are announced on our schedule page and communicated through our mailing list. We also accept athletes on a rolling basis when roster spots are available, so do not hesitate to reach out even if a season has already begun.

What age groups do you offer?

Invictus Aquatics offers programs for 16 and under, 18 and under, and adult masters players through our Crest Masters program. We serve athletes from middle school through adulthood at every skill level. Visit our programs page for detailed descriptions of each program.

What should my athlete bring to their first practice?

Athletes should bring a water polo suit or competitive swimsuit, goggles for warm-up laps, a water bottle, a towel, and sunscreen for outdoor pool sessions. Water polo caps are provided by the club for competitions. We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early to meet the coaching staff and get oriented.

How much does it cost to join Invictus Aquatics?

Registration fees vary by program and season. Visit our registration page for current pricing on all programs including youth teams, Crest Masters dues, drop-in sessions, and tournament entry fees. If financial assistance is needed, please contact us directly to discuss available options.

Can my child try a practice before committing to a full season?

We understand that committing to a new club is a big decision. Contact us to discuss trial practice opportunities for your athlete. We want families to feel confident that Invictus Aquatics is the right fit before registering for a full season.

Do you offer programs for beginners?

Yes. While Invictus Aquatics is a competitive club, we welcome athletes who are new to water polo. Our coaches work with players at every skill level and will develop a training plan that builds fundamental skills while integrating new athletes into team activities. Many of our strongest athletes started with no prior water polo experience.
